Google and Amazon really need to work out their issues. If your TV doesn't have 4K apps built-in, then I'd recommend getting the Roku Premiere+ or Ultra over the Chromecast. Tech The best streaming device to buy right now The Apple TV 4K checks all the boxes and is the most pleasant to use, but plenty of people will be just fine with a Chromecast, Roku, or Fire. But if all you care about is watching Stranger Things or Transparent in 4K, that might not matter. either one would be used for YTTV, ethernet connection.with a hisense 55H TV. HDR10+ uses dynamic metadata so that each frame can have its own settings for contrast, brightness, and colors, which results in lifelike images. Roku Ultra I have the ultra and it works well. (The Chromecast Ultra is the first Chromecast that can play YouTube at 60fps, if you care about that nerdy tidbit.) I am old and used a ton of different streaming devices and the Shield is hands down the best. They are actually a lot better option than the 4K Apple TV. If your 4K set comes with Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube out of the box and they all stream in UHD, I really can’t see much reason for spending extra on either of these devices.
